REVIEW OF THE WEEK: Garnier Skin Naturals Fresh Clarifying Wash

Being a lover of all things derived from nature, green to Green tea, then team that with more antioxidants – Win, win!

I was doubtful this cleanser would do anything for me, at the time experiencing a sensitive stage! Random offset of cystic acne, oil galore! Everything was changing & in desperation to try anything that offered even vague hopes of reducing oil, yet not cause further reactions. It was then I found ‘Garnier’s Skin Naturals, Fresh Clarifying Wash! Being on offer at the time I figured, I didn’t have anything to lose.

What are the claims? What drew me to this product is that it’s water based, claims to restore skins balance whilst purifying pores. With ingredients such as Green Tea, Potent and powerful antioxidant, teamed with Moringa Extracts. For those who don’t know it’s a plant grown in the tropics and often used in a mix to make medicine. Still being such a cost effective/accessible product I was sceptical to the power of these ingredients strength.

How did it fare?  To my surprise this has fully exceeded expectations! The consistency is greenish clear, foams up super easy so a tiny bit stretches a long way. I use as part of a double cleanse routine  (oil cleanse first, we can talk about this next time). Tip & Trick: Lather about a pea sized amount, massage in small circular movements, working from the chin up to forehead then into sweeping motions down along the nose (I find,  by massaging when cleansing this method better removes daily build-up and helps prevent lines by gently following the direction of the face!).

Would I recommend? I love, love love how my skin feels so fresh, smooth, clean and not overly dry! In terms of shine control & pore purifying it’s not a magic wand, but if used sparingly as part of a potent regime I find this product effective. My sensitive skin is less shiny since incorporating, I’d always avoided this type of pharmacy cleanser as they tend to be a bit harsh for me and often drying however, this Garnier product is definitely an exception to that rule. Plus for it’s price I think it’s unbeatable I’d definitely consider repurchasing.
