Love, love, love a bit of good old Lush! Aside from the visual aesthetic of delightful looking products, smelling good enough to eat! I’ve been dabbling into Lush’s skincare recently, so far the masks have been my main experiment and I’ve been pretty impressed with the results & the ingredients that comprise the products.
Are you a fan of Lush cosmetics? If so what’s your favourite product should you have some? For me my skin can be really unpredictable! One day things seem to be okay, but then the very next day breakouts can surface, or general dullness occurs etc! It’s an ongoing process, hence I’m quite excited about this mask I’ve been using & it leads me to the Product of the Week!
For those who are new to Lush cosmetics; they are known for their use of fresh ingredients. With any fresh product the shelf life is generally much shorter than a product packed with loads of preserving chemicals etc. This gives the product the power it contains from being filled with fresh and active ingredients. Each product comes with its own shelf life and storage instructions. For this particular product however refrigeration is not necessary, it also has a longer expiration date than some others, which I quite like about it too.
WHAT DOES IT TARGET > Mask of Magnanimity, I use it to deep cleanse the pores & help calm and control my breakouts. It contains ”Kaolin clay and peppermint oil to rid pores of debris, giving you a delightfully tingly clean sensation” Other key ingredients include Ground Aaduki beans for an exfoliation of flaking/dry skin, it has vanilla absolute to calm any redness and then the honey to soothe & hydrate the skin.
HOW DO I USE IT > I apply after cleansing fully then take a generous amount and spread evenly all over the face avoiding the sensitive eye area. I leave it on for up to fifteen minutes, then let it work in its powers! I do feel a strong tingly sensation upon first contact! However, my skin is pretty sensitive & due to the honey plus other soothing ingredients to balance it all out; at no point are the tingles too uncomfortable, it just feels as though it’s working deeply.
The texture is quite thick and a leaves little pieces on the face & it looks quite funny when you’re wearing it! You’ll feel it tightening as it drys but not in an overly drying way. When ready, I take wet hands and massage it off using the product on my face to exfoliate thoroughly. The end result; my pores feel deeply cleansed fresh and comfortable.
VERDICT > I think this is a great product! I get really excited when I find products that use powerful, potent and non toxic ingredients offering effective results! Since adding this to my routine and I use it twice a week (for four weeks now). I am pleased with the way my skin appears, my pores seem less visible, overall the skin is calmer and it’s really helped contain a hormonal breakout much swifter than if left alone! As a whole, I would totally recommend trying a mask from the ranges that targets your specific skin concerns, these little pots are filled with goodness! I’m quite excited to explore others in time but have to remind myself how fresh they are! In order to get the full benefits, they should be used in timely fashion and stored correctly, patience is a virtue here ♥
