Holiday seasons just around the corner! Are you thinking about how to prepare your perfect beauty travel bag? Into K-Beauty? We all know how there can be multiple steps involved? This poses challenges, how will I fit it all into a small beauty travel bag & have everything I need? Not wanting to compromise a step, thinking liquid restrictions too! To ensure you have all your essentials and can relax when away, it helps to think about what the perfect beauty travel bag is for you, ahead of the trip to stay on top of your skincare game when on the move.
THE PERFECT BEAUTY TRAVEL BAG CONDENSED; STARTING WITH ALL ESSENTIAL MAKE UP REMOVER
Do you wear makeup? If so, you know how stubborn eye makeup especially, can be to remove? That pesky eyeliner & mascara needs to be mostly gone before cleansing! As with any base layers. I find by doing so, makes cleansing a little easier and ensures that when we apply our cleansers next, the product reaches our skin more effectively, not just removing the make up!
I like to use a travel sized Micellar water like the one from GARNIER Skin Active MICELLLAR WATER for Sensitive Skin (Pink one). A 100 ml size can usually be picked up for very little in a local Superdrug or similar type of store. My skin agrees with it, doesn’t contain alcohol which is great, and I like how this one isn’t particularly oily (like some) It is quite good at removing my makeup gently and I double this up as a toner to keep my beauty travel bag light!
DOUBLE CLEANSING? WHY CLEANSING BALMS ARE GREAT FOR TRAVEL?
Truthfully, I’m not sure I’d want to take a full-sized oil cleanser in my Beauty travel bag, even with the space? I’d be worried about the leakage factor! When travelling I like to have what I need yet, keep things a bit simple.
Products such as ‘NEOGEN’S GREEN TEA CLEANSING STICK’ is a great option, it can be used to the same depth of cleansing as an oil and water-based combo. Due to an innovative design and ingredients mix; you can check out my full review here….
Other examples of a balm cleanser would be:
Banilla Zero (Assorted depending on skin types)
Heimish All Clean Cleansing Balm
Emma Harding’s Moringa balm
DHC Mini olive cleansing oil 30 ml
Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash 75 ml
These are great options to save space and depending on the size should fit or at least save a little space in that perfect beauty travel bag!
If your balm or wash doesn’t come offered in a travel friendly size, the wonderful thing is that these can safely be decanted into a travel friendly jar; a little spreads far & should keep you going well whilst on the go.
EXFOLIATING PRODUCTS FOR A PERFECTLY PACKED BEAUTY TRAVEL BAG?
This one can be complicated especially if like me you are a bit of a die-hard K-Beauty fanatic! My go to exfoliating product has to be the BIO PEEL PADS by Neogen Again full breakdown here …..
The size of this product though, it’s huge! No way would it fit in a beauty travel bag! The great news is that they are available in loose sachet packs that are perfect for packing in!
With exfoliation (depending on skin type). Generally, twice a week should do the job? These sachets are great as you don’t need to over carry and are also my go to product for the job!
But, sadly K-Beauty is not always easy to find in every country yet! There are times when you just need to get your hands on something quickly that will play a similar role?
FIRST AID BEAUTY Face Radiance Pads
NIP + FAB Glycolic Cleansing / Exfoliating pad
These are both quite good and play a similar role in exfoliation and handy to move about with
SERUM, ESSENCE, MOISTURISER OR HAIR OILS – BEAUTY TRAVEL FRIENDLY?
This step can be challenging as most serums or hydrating products generally come as full standard sizing, at times quite large.
if I can’t find what I need into a beauty bag friendly size then, I will use travel bottles and decant my favourite serum, essences to Aloe Vera to take with me on vacation!
HEARD ABOUT SAMPLE SERVICES?
Feel Unique also offer samples (some bigger than others). Have you tried this? You can PICK & MIX up to a max number of small sample sized products and pay for the delivery cost. This I think is another fantastic way to stock up on good & travel friendly sized products to pack in that bag!
Are you into beauty subscription boxes? This is also an excellent way to try assorted brands & ensure that you have many beauty travel bag friendly products to take you all over the place!
My purchase from eBay a while ago now a set of four hydrating, essence oils from a South Korean brand called HUXLEY this little set of 4 X Hydrating waters to oils is perfect for travelling with & and keeping up with varying hydration requirements whilst on the go:
DON’T FORGET YOUR SPF!
Please do not skip this step! With a changeable skin type, prone to congestion and these days epic breakouts! Grrr! in hot temperatures, I tend to avoid moisturiser by day unless I really need it. Depending on how my skin feels I may go from light hydrating layers straight into SPF Factor 50+
There are a few that I love, are effective & can be found at 50 ml or even smaller sized containing, perfect for travelling and to name a few I like Ultra sun’s anti hyper-pigmentation, Missha Safe Block zero sebum – pat, pat & Pat into the skin don’t rub it in! Allow these creams to sink in and only apply make-up once it has fully absorbed in, to avoid a cakey & flaky mess.
