Here we are again! I must say that the beauty box seems to arrive a little quicker every month! Last month just escaped me so let me unbox May’s Look Fantastic, Beauty Box for you…
WHAT’S INSIDE THE BEAUTY BOX?
The mixture inside May’s beauty box this time are nicely varied, which is great. Again, vibrantly packaged in summer colours orange & pink! Every month we get a compact, yet full-sized Elle magazine, a supplement former box reviews here…
booklet with an overview. As for the contents, within this month’s box we have a cosmetic, skin care, teeth whitening & a sheet mask (yay!) In my opinion, it’s a good one! let’s break it down shall we
Upon opening the beauty box & seeing this liquid eyeliner pen, I got super excited as the one I’m using is running out! The design of this is so great, handy being easy to fit in your make up bag & the shape of the nib itself great for drawing fine to thicker flicks or even dots, it’s quite precise. I love how easy this is to use. The colour is a jet matt black which is perfect.
This product is a contouring & highlighting kit, the quality of the powder itself is good, soft, creamy & highly pigmented which transfers onto a brush very easily. Even with a tiny amount of product there’s noticeable definition, but you need to blend this in fully to ensure no harsh lines are visible, once you’ve managed that it’s fantastic and again a handy size to take around with you.
My only comment with Look Fantastic Beauty boxes is that they don’t ask when signing up, what you skin tone, hair and eye colour you are so, when it comes to cosmetic products it’s kind of pot luck that the colours will work for you!
Who doesn’t want white teeth? I’m totally intrigued by the concept being a tooth whitening newbie, inside the box are 4 X sachets of whitening strips for sensitive teeth, formulated by dentists. You place them on, then leave for an hour. This is a course treatment and use them daily over a 2 week period daily. The main ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. I’ve not yet had the opportunity to sit an hour & not open my mouth! Yet, I will and am looking forward to trying these out soon! Anything that can help brighten up my teeth, I’m on it!
Who doesn’t love a good sheet mask? Super relaxing after a long day, and a perfect excuse for some downtime. Not only that, when used on a regular basis they can help improve the skins texture & condition, so it’s worth incorporating a couple a week as part of your skincare routine.
This is so weird but i love it! Activated Charcoal, great for pulling out impurities from the skin, fruit acids too; great for exfoliation & brightening. This bubbles up on the face as oxygen touches the charcoal, it can really silly literally bubbling up on your face looking a bit troll like! Perhaps one to keep for that evening in alone 😊
I’m always a bit dubious about ‘all in one’s’ Perhaps, being so into my skincare, the notion that a primer could perform the same function as a hydrating mask? I’m not entirely sold! However, the texture of this one doesn’t feel too synthetic if that makes sense, it sinks into the skin quite quickly, and is packed with anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acids, bio-boost, and plant oils! Strong ingredients which sound promising yet, for me it does smell strongly of fragrance which puts me off a bit with my skin issues!
Yet, handy size to take travelling & for this purpose, or when on the go it’s nice to have an option in a product that could quick fix several different purposes. This must be one of the best things about these boxes I don’t think I’ll need to buy one travel sized item this holiday season 😊
Targeted for mature skin or very dry skin with a scientific formula combined with nature for effective results. I’m unable to fully review as the size is very small, also with holiday season in the air, i think i will keep this for my travels! However, the contents of this months beauty box in my opinion, is pretty dam good! Even a small sample as per the one on the box is selling on Ebay for £19! So, it must be pretty good!
